We aim to make State News Now usable with a keyboard, screen reader, zoomed text and reduced-motion settings. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA for the pages and components we control.
Current measures
- Semantic headings, landmarks, visible focus indicators and a skip link.
- Readable contrast, responsive type and touch targets designed for small screens.
- Alternative text for informative images and empty alternative text for decorative images.
- Motion that respects the device’s reduced-motion preference.
- Videos that do not autoplay and load only after the reader chooses.
Feedback
If a page, menu, form or document is difficult to use, email contact@statenewsnow.com with the page address, device and problem. We will prioritize a practical fix and provide the information in another format when reasonably possible.
